Job Description

As a Principal Product Manager for Whole Product Solutions, you will play a key role in the definition and delivery of Sage Intacct’s strategy to deliver deeper/broader solutions that serve and delight customers in key target markets. A successful candidate is motivated, collaborative and works to ensure complex business processes can be made easy to understand and adopt. You will drive customer/market research and work across the company to define and deliver whole product packaging strategies as well as define embedded best practices that deepen and optimize solutions for the markets we serve. You will define requirements and drive evaluation of complementary product partner solutions, in collaboration with the business development team, to broaden and complete our solution footprint. You will also collaborate in cross-functional teams for product launch and company readiness activities including messaging/positioning, internal and external training, and other go to market activities.

  • Degree in accounting, finance, computer science, management information systems or related fields

  • 5+ years direct experience in product management or product strategy for cloud ERP and/or financial management solution.

  • Direct knowledge of best practices for financial accounting workflows, ideally across a broad range of industries.

  • Strong leadership/project mgmt skills and track-record of managing successful delivery working with people from different departments together toward a common objective

  • Prior experience as an implementer, accountant-user, and/or support analyst for ERP and/or financial management systems is a plus

  • Specific experience with the Sage Intacct product is a plus.

  • Adept at solving complex problems and enjoy challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong customer orientation.

  • Positive attitude, detail oriented and good with multi-tasking in a fast paced environment

  • Comfortable with working across multiple time zones both within the US and internationally routinely

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Through market and customer research define and drive the strategic roadmap for whole product solutions for key target markets

  • Define solution maps per key target market

  • Define and deliver embedded best practice that accelerate time to implement, adopt, and realize ROI

  • Drive requirements and evaluation of complementary whole product partner solutions in collaboration with business development teams.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful launch and adoption of solutions through training, support and marketing efforts

  • Collaborate with marketing; creating product messaging to the identified target markets to assist the marketing organization in the preparation of product data sheets, collateral and product related PR events

  • Analyze Sage Intacct solution against key competitors, provide competitive analysis to the sales organization, and incorporate findings into the corporate product roadmap

  • Focus on continuous improvement, identify areas of improvement in methodology and content quality and develop plans to address
