Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Payroll & Benefits, the Payroll Manager is responsible for the production and overall administration of the hourly, manager and MIT payroll. This position is responsible for the management and supervision of the Payroll Administrators. The person in this position must be able to supervise, manage, motivate, and discipline when necessary. The manager is to ensure compliance with HOA company pay policies and government regulations as well as maintain the confidentiality and integrity of payroll information. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage Payroll Administrators
- Process payroll for assigned locations according to guidelines stipulated
- Manage the accurate processing of all payroll transactions including coordination of the daily payroll operation
- Ensure accurate payments but validating data prior to transmission
- Generate the payroll tax file and verify mandated returns and remittances for all employees and the employer payroll taxes
- Responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of tax files
- Responsible for reporting accurate processing of federal and state wage attachments, garnishments, and support orders as required
- Reconcile and generate the GL accounting entries to accurately record the results of the payroll process with Accounting Manager
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of the following: payroll reports, tax reports, labor reports, garnishment knowledge, 401K report
- Troubleshoot and analyze payroll system functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Calculate workers comp bill for risk management
- Administer the reporting and payment processes required to reimburse or set up the receivables from the employee
- Train new payroll administrators
- Manage scheduling/PTO accruals for Payroll Administrators and Garnishment Coordinator

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of payroll processing experience or 5-7 years of payroll processing experience and CPP certification
- Experience with in-house full cycle payroll required
- Multi-State payroll experience required
- High volume payroll processing experience a plus
- 5 years of supervisory experience required
- Experience with Ultipro Preferred
