The Consolidation's Manager position will take on advanced level accounting tasks related to subsidiary consolidation, elimination of intercompany transactions, foreign currency translation, and aid in the consolidating of the Company's financial results. The position will oversee and assist with the preparation, and review of all externally released financial information. This position will include close interaction with Finance personnel in the identification, reconciliation, and resolution of non-GAAP financial measures in management presentations. This position is responsible for compliance with FASB, along with ensuring that US GAAP to IFRS differences are recognized and appropriately reported. The individual will also be responsible for researching and applying new accounting standards. Additional responsibilities will include GL duties, posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts (including accruals, receivables, payables, intercompany, and stock-based compensation), recording of debt and related components, covenant compliance schedules, purchase accounting and related accounting tasks.

This position will also heavily support activities outside of financial reporting and will lead various other Corporate owned technical issues, as well as involvement in various special projects as they arise. The Consolidation's Manager will have direct contact with senior-level management including the CFO, Director of FP&A, Treasurer, and Controller which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

The responsibilities for this role are:

  • Coordinate and assist with the preparation of all financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP / IFRS
  • Ensure the reconciliation of GAAP to Management to Credit reporting is done on a timely and accurate basis
  • Assist with the annual audit, including the preparation of work papers, and coordination of responses to questions.
  • Assist and review the preparation of the quarterly reporting package from both a US GAAP and IFRS perspective, to ensure all prescribed reporting deadlines are met
  • Respond to inquiries from the Director of FP&A, Controller, and other finance and business leaders within Carestream Dental regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Support budget and forecasting activities
  • Own the Consolidation's tool to ensure that all reporting needs are met and that all intercompany eliminations have occurred
  • Upload entries for multiple legal entities, maintain journal entry log, file journal entries (JEs) and ensure proper back-up documentation and authorized sign-offs are obtained in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Ensure that a well-documented and effective control process is maintained for disclosure and reporting controls
  • Understand the nature of issues that are likely to impact the closing of the general ledger and plan to resolve prior to the closing deadline
  • Review the consolidated results and work with the worldwide Controller team to understand and document variances
  • Lead efforts to help ensure identification of key accounting controls and the validation that they are working effectively
  • Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a global company (Asia & Europe preferred) with a solid understanding of intercompany accounting and eliminations.
  • Experience with financial reporting, either from the audit or accounting perspective
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of GAAP and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, using detailed written reports and narratives, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner
  • A growth mindset, continually evaluating processes for improvement and increased efficiency
  • Experience with evaluating the design and testing the operating effectiveness of controls
  • International Financial Reporting Experience (IFRS) desired


  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited institution required
  • A CPA, CIA and/or MBA strongly preferred


  • 6-8 years previous experience in auditing or other accounting functions
  • Big 4 accounting experience desired
  • SAP experience desired
  • Workday Adaptive Planning experience desired
  • Microsoft Office experience required


  • Limited travel required
