AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation is searching for a Sr. Vulnerability Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a forward thinking company. This person will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and remediation actions and effective communications of those vulnerabilities the relevant IT remediation teams. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of numerous operating systems (such as Linux, UNIX, MacOS, Microsoft Windows, and Network devices) and patch management solutions. This candidate will utilize the knowledge to assist technology teams in remediating outstanding vulnerabilities and misconfiguration issues. This candidate must have strong working knowledge of vulnerability and patch management. These include all areas of the remediation process, which include identifying, assessing, reporting, and working with technology teams responsible for resolving open vulnerabilities finding systems. Candidate must have excellent communications and time management skills and be effective at influencing individuals outside of their reporting structure.
This is a hands-on role that encompasses evaluating the security posture of AmeriSave assets and working with the appropriate teams to enforce AmeriSave patch management policies. The position will work with other team members to analyze vulnerability data, and report on the overall risk and compliance.
All members of the Vulnerability Management team will work collectively to improve the overall capabilities of identifying and remediating weaknesses in AmeriSave’s environment by continuously improving the vulnerability management program.

Responsibilities

    • Communicate clearly and comprehensively to technology teams
    • Identify systems vulnerabilities and provide proper consultation for remediation
    • Provide system administration support for vulnerability scanning technologies
    • Develop formal reporting for IT and Security leadership, demonstrating current risk to the organization from vulnerable systems, operating systems, and applications
    • Guide End User Computing (EUC), Data Center, Network, and Cloud services teams to ensure standard systems development does not expand the threat landscape of the organization
    • Guide EUC and Server teams with recommendations of a standard system build (gold-disk standard)
    • Identify areas for quick wins and where high levels of risk should be remediated
    • Assist in the management and maintenance of the Vulnerability Management policy
    • Assist in the create of the Vulnerability Management procedures and run-book(s)
    • Assist in the management and maintenance of the Vulnerability Management processes

    • OTHER DUTIES
    • Prepare formal reports and presentations of findings and recommendations to remediation teams
    • Knowledge of security application testing activities (such as penetration testing and application/vulnerability assessments) and application testing technologies
    • Security knowledge across various security domains and technologies (e.g., databases, operating systems, networking, applications)
    • Knowledge of microservices and architectures
    • Other duties, as assigned

    • CORE COMPETENCIES
    • Ability to understand the entire MMS and its affiliates’ IT landscape, identifying vulnerabilities and connecting to system and process owners via standardized processes to remediate identified vulnerabilities
    • Experience with any of the following: Rapid7 InsightVM, Tenable Nessus, Qualys and other network vulnerability assessment tools
    • Experience with any common patch management tools: SCCM, Avanti, BigFix, Satellite, and other patch management tools
    • Maintain up-to-date understanding of technology trends and developments in the areas of information technology and security
    • Ability to understand business processes and needs, gain buy-in and influence change
    • Ability to drive execution of defined goals through effective interaction with IT services teams
    • Ability to frame security and IT vulnerability-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Developed analytical, structured problem-solving skills
    • Experience supporting enterprise vulnerability management and coordination
    • Strong patch management acumen in all types of IT endpoints, with the ability to translate these into concrete actions / action plans, driving proper remediation with the various IT teams

    • WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • This position is in Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) and operates in a professional office environment. Currently, IT Security employees are asked to come into the office only two days a week, with the ability to work from home the other three days.

    • POSITION TYPE/STANDARD SCHEDULE
    • This is a Full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • You are eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    • TRAVEL
    • No travel will be required of this role.
    • Bachelor's degree is preferred; degree in computer science, information systems, information security/assurance, business administration, or another related field preferred
    • 3+ years’ experience working with network vulnerability management solutions (i.e., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or others)
    • 3+ years’ hands on experience working with several operation systems
    • Required familiarity with Vulnerability Management frameworks
    • Prefer knowledge of Cloud security, end-user-computing security, data center security, and network security
    • Preferred experience in the fields of mortgage, banking, insurance, financial services, technology or similar
    • Experience working with parties across all areas of the organization at multiple levels
    • Strong analytical and technical skills
    • Excellent at multitasking, and open to constant learning
