Sales Development Representative, End-User Computing

The Opportunity

This position provides a unique career opportunity to be a key member of the new EUC SDR team for VMware in VMware's state of the art AMER Digital Sales Centers. You will drive sales development activities that help grow the EUC business. You will work closely with the Digital Sales Centre EUC team to deliver sales development performance.

Performance Outcomes

  • Deliver on sales and sales development strategies, initiatives and activities to align with the overall EUC strategy and business requirements.
  • Follow up and qualify new prospects from demand generation activities
  • Prospect, qualify and develop new prospects to appointments


Role and Responsibility

  • Prospecting, qualifying and developing new opportunities via sales plays and sales initiatives aligned with the overall EUC strategy and business requirements.
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Engagement and enablement with target partners and driving demand generation with target channel partners in assigned territory
  • Working collaboratively with the sales team on new opportunities
  • Maintain a self-starter attitude
  • Continued product training and development of an understanding of our communication infrastructure

Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral across a variety of channels (email, social media, phone, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly
  • Base knowledge of the software market or the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls every day
  • Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
  • Must be an excellent problem-solver and willing to collaborate in an exceedingly competitive environment
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving production goals from assigned territory or set of accounts
  • Drive, Grit, Team Oriented: strong desire to compete and win
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

The manager recruiting for this position is Michael Olney, Director Worldwide EUC Field Execution. Michael has over 20 years’ experience as a systems engineer, consultant, professional services manager, sales and sales leader, in the technology sector around end user computing (EUC).

You will become a key function in a broader team focused on sales strategy and competitiveness, that already provides strong skills and knowledge helping to drive our Software/SaaS business development and navigate the dynamics of the diverse AMER and Worldwide markets.

This role is based in either the Austin or Atlanta Digital Sales Centers
