Job Summary
Participate in communications efforts designed to promote the College of Computing at Georgia Tech by creating awareness among target audiences of the academic and research achievements of its faculty and students.
This position develops communications materials including news and feature articles, social media content, and marketing content such as one-pagers, brochures, and reports. This position will interact on a consistent basis with College Communications management and personnel, faculty, students, and others across campus.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Daily social media postings
- Weekly news stories
- Monthly newsletter
- Annual report
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two to four years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires skills in writing and communication, creativity, and an ability to incorporate a variety of resources and tools to develop content. Requires ability to understand complex and/or highly technical ideas and programs and communicate them in lay terms. Also required are organizational and communications skills as well as the use of office and specialized computer applications.
