A construction professional responsible for office assistance to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.

Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Forward leads to Business Development and Group Vice President.

· Contacts Resources, Prospective Clients, and Existing Clients to identify Suspects (i.e. leads)

· Obtains required information about Suspects

· Complete actions (RFP, interview, etc.) that leads the client to commit to Weis Builders

  • Manages client expectations and the client relationship so that Weis Builders is perceived positively and top of awareness is achieved

Pre-Construction/Estimating/Project Start Up

  • Assist in material takeoffs.
  • Assist in obtaining subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Assist in schedule preparation.
  • Conduct subcontract/vendor scope interviews prior to subcontract award.

Construction Management

  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost and time saving measures during purchasing.
  • Assist in obtaining building and related permits.
  • Assist Field start up activities of job trailer set up and temporary utilities.
  • Assist in creating and updating project management tools:

Field Daily Construction Report; Manpower Report; PO/EWO Logs, General Conditions Monitor; IRL; RFI Log; Room Matrix Schedule; QCL; Punch list; Master Schedule; VCD Schedule; Submittal Log; Cost Issue Log; Change Orders; Closeout Documents.

  • Obtain submittals and manage process from subcontractor submission and architect approval through coordination

· Obtain, qualify and challenge pricing of cost issues prior to owner submission.

  • Assist in subcontractor quality and contract performance.
  • Timely documentation of potential issues affecting the client’s budget and schedule.
  • Submit weekly Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) for future projects.
  • Inspect materials for conformance to specifications.
  • Participate and enforce Weis safety program.
  • Assist in QA/QC work including room matrix updating, QCL and punchlist completion.

Post Construction

  • Assist Project Coordinator to obtain final closeout submission documents.
  • Assist in preparing project records for storage.
  • Assist in warranty follow-ups.


  • Acquire understanding of building code and design.
  • Work to improve personal, technical and managerial skills.
  • Assist project manager and superintendent in any job function to ensure economic and timely project completion.

· Graduation from High School required

· Bachelors degree in 4 year construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
