Toll Brothers Campus Living has an outstanding opportunity for a highly qualified Construction Manager to join our Student Housing team. This position will be assigned initially to a Student Housing project in South Bend, Indiana.


What is the opportunity?


This opportunity is for an organized, technically proficient individual with deep experience in residential construction.


What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Participate in the design of projects to ensure compliance with best practice engineering and construction design standards and applicable code and accessibility requirements.
  • Participate in the engineering and architectural design to ensure compliance with engineering and construction basis of design standards and applicable code and accessibility requirements.
  • Review specifications and design documents throughout the design process for site and building design. Provide a Constructability and Coordination Plan Review for the Project Manager at each stage of the design process:
  • Participate and provide input throughout the design process for improved building, unit, amenity and site programming, coordination and layout.
  • Participate and provide input throughout the design process for improved constructability and value engineering options.
  • Review, comment and approve third party construction manager trade subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Review, comment and approve third party construction manager trade subcontract.
  • Review and de-scope subcontractor bid packages
  • Review, comment and approve project schedule
  • Oversee the daily project activities of the third-party construction manager on-site team and all trade subcontractors.
  • Attend weekly field meetings with on-site construction staff and all trade subcontractors.
  • Review and comment on all meeting minutes.
  • Review and comment on submittal, RFI and ASI correspondence between the design and construction team to ensure timely and accurate information is exchanged and properly documented.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal quality control related requirements.
  • Review change orders for internal consideration and approval.
  • Ensure completion of all project closeout activities including as-builts, warranty certificates, attic stock, final lien releases, punch list completion and other close out documentation.

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 3-7 Years relevant multi-family construction experience or other relevant construction experience.
