Employee will report directly to the Manager, Delta Connection Portfolio (Maintenance). Employee will work closely with Engine Supplier management and technical personnel, responsible for the technical and financial oversight of assigned engine supplier, which may change from time to time. He or she will assist in the development of the Engine Groups annual budget, monthly forecasts, and presents information to Delta Connections leadership on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for the complete management of engine program to include turn time, cost, quality, reliability, and safety as well as provide Delta Connections Management with status reports along with explanations of current engine initiatives. He or she will develop consensus within an organizational climate of diverse operational activities.

The Program Manager will coordinate and interface with Supply Chain Management, Delta Connection Finance, Quality, Planning, and Engineering for the most effective and efficient strategies for assigned engine line and outside repair vendors as well as interfacing with Connection carriers to ensure engine schedule and work scope meets or exceeds Delta's contractual agreements. Employee will support the development of internal Delta Connection process improvements; will work to improve organizational effectiveness and. He or she will execute quarterly business reviews and annual supplier forums to communicate goals, performance, and review of overall program. The candidate will be responsible for reporting, auditing and calculating costs, flight hours and ad hoc reporting as needed. The Program Manager practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Frequent domestic and international travel required, up to 75%, travel is often with little or no notice as to destination and or duration.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Candidate must have strong business and financial acumen including structured problem solving skills, analytical skills, data analysis, and solid understanding of business management concepts. The applicant must have strong operational, technical and leadership skills, have documented process improvement experience with a solid record of accomplishment. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of Delta Connection Operators policies and procedures, compliance standards, operations, maintenance, and reliability programs. He or she must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills (both internal and external), be highly motivated, and have ability to support business directives to reach common goal. The desired candidate must possess an Airframe & Powerplant License with 5-7 years of experience in aircraft, engine or component maintenance or have a bachelors degree in engineering. The applicant should have strong experience with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project) and Engine MRO experience is required. The candidate must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
