Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Engineer to join our office in Atlanta, GA.

Since 1961, we have delivered complete site development services that include land planning, civil engineering, surveying and feasibility studies.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide project engineering and task management; review stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems modeling results and develop alternatives; collect, assimilate and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports; and lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design infrastructure including detention facilities, roadway drainage and green infrastructure, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, pump stations and forcemains.
• Assist with obtaining all required permits from local jurisdictions.
• Assist with inspections from local jurisdictions and other regulatory agencies while preparing corresponding paperwork. Ensure that work is in compliance with City or County land development codes and regulations.
• Assist in the processing of as-built plans and required paperwork for local agency acceptance of the improvements.
• Prepare construction documents, reports and calculations for private and public sector projects involving land development for new and redevelopment type projects.
• Prepare 3 phase erosion control designs for projects and perform erosion control inspections.
• Perform construction site visits to monitor progress.

Qualification Requirements

• BSCE or a 4-year degree is a required.
• EIT/PE is required.
• Level II Erosion Control designer
• Five (5) years minimum experience in land development and construction engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D software programs.
• Must have experience with Site Layout, Site Grading and Drainage, and Utility Design.
• Must have Hydrology Analysis knowledge and skills.
• Experience with Flood Study Analysis is preferred.
• Strong communications skills. Thorough and attentive to details. Able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proactive with the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent analytical and writing capabilities;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who can effectively work with minimal supervision when required

Salary: Based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
