Reports to: Director of Software Systems
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation piezo transducer design for medical applications
- Design and selection of piezo-ceramic components for new designs.
- Analysis of transducer sensitivity, noise, resonance and other characteristics necessary for transducer iteration
- Develop simulations for evaluating transducer design prior to manufacturing.
- Write and validate piezo subsystem requirements including transducer and driver circuit design elements
- Assist in prototype piezo system development including transducer and drive electronics
- Participate in risk analysis and assist systems engineering in developing overall system architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, or Electrical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience transducer and drive electronics design
- Experience in developing electronics drive electronics, soldering and connectors
- Knowledge of piezo transducer material properties and appropriate application selection
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques for piezo transducers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in working in regulated field. (Medical Device, Aerospace, or Military)
- Experience in systems electronic and controller designs.
