The Vice President, Compliance, will lead the Assurance capability on the Compliance team. The position will lead both the monitoring and testing capabilities, and leverage data driven insights to build an industry leading assurance program. This position will manage team and individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, as well as support other compliance initiatives and interact with senior management.
The Vice President, Compliance, will be a versatile team player, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic in addressing new challenges across the organization.
What You'll Do:
Develop the Audit strategy for internal, financial, technical and/or cyber security audit functional areas globally and drive execution of the strategy through teams of managers and audit professionals
Present executive level findings to leadership teams across the BU/COE/Country/Region which identify gaps, recommend solutions and improvements and mitigates overall risk to the company
Drive development of the team through role enrichment, external certifications and identification of growth opportunities
Provide team, organizational, and strategic leadership on compliance projects and initiatives.
Lead assurance activities for the Compliance team and serve as the primary point of contact for teams across Equifax regarding those activities.
Develop and implement an appropriate risk assessment and compliance monitoring or testing program/plan to be executed periodically with results reported to management and the Board for ensuring that key compliance controls are monitored and tested.
Maintain visibility into emerging regulatory issues, including US laws and regulations that may impact Equifax.
Review company processes, policies, controls, operational requirements, and procedures to identify process improvements as they relate to compliance.
Research industry trends and key market information for continuous program improvement.
Develop and manage program metrics related to role and, where applicable, content for other leadership reports.
Continually seek to improve the knowledge, skills, professionalism, and productivity of the team by providing training, guidance, coaching, and feedback.
What Experience You Need:
Ten (10) years minimum of regulatory, compliance, or analogous experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
Extensive demonstrated experience in monitoring and testing, and extensive experience managing others who conduct monitoring or testing.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams focused on monitoring or testing key controls.
Demonstrated experience in using data driven insights for designing and operationalizing risk assessments and program plans.
Bachelor's degree - degree in accounting, auditing, computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or a comparable discipline.
What Could Set You Apart:
Familiarity with cloud technologies - a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, with focus on informing, influencing, and relationship building.
In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including the regulatory landscape and consumer financial protection laws.
Experience interpreting financial services regulations and interaction with regulators.
Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and run multiple projects.
Demonstrated partnering skills, with experience coordinating initiatives with partners in a multinational organization.
