The Manager, People Leader Communications is a high-energy, creative self-starter responsible for delivering multifaceted and crucial communications that build extraordinary Leaders at Salesforce!

This individual will be a resource for team members in our Employee Success organization to develop, lead, and implement global communication strategies that engage, advise, and focus everyone who leads employees at Salesforce.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who is passionate about crafting inspirational comms programs that capture employees’ attention and are tailored to focus and empower our global leader community. This person is a forward-thinking writer and storyteller with a creative and solution-oriented mentality, experience using metrics to advise campaign design, and is able to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with team members in Employee Success and other departments to understand and stay updated on leader-related strategies and initiatives; develop coordinated communications plans, and implement. Includes drafting messaging, FAQs, talk tracks and support materials.
  • Lead delivery of our monthly All Leaders Calls including production, content development, executive speaker management, and reporting insights.
  • Drive creation of our twice-monthly People Leader newsletter in partnership with collaborators across the business to ensure leaders remain informed and passionate about the highest priority actions and updates.
  • Lead intake process and provide updates to internal customers and partners on our People Leader Communications Calendar in order to drive strategic alignment on messaging and audience engagement.
  • Own and evolve our People Leader Home Base so it continues to become the go-to resource and single source of truth for People Leaders to get the most crucial information they need.
  • Lead and expand upon our approach to leader engagement on Slack, including leading all aspects of our Slack Stars People Leader program and administration of our two core Slack channels for the global leader community.
  • Coordinate and supervise People Leader elements of global internal communications campaigns to ensure consistency and transparency across channels and initiatives.
  • Work with partners across Employee Success to align key enablement initiatives with global priorities, engagement timelines, and messaging.
  • Provide strategic feedback on messaging and positioning, and influence collaborators as needed to ensure communications are compelling, clear, and aligned with our desired tone.
  • Write memorable, engaging communications across all channels that drive awareness of key initiatives and inspire employees to take action (e.g. email, digital screens, web pages and banners, Slack, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver new ways to engage leaders in existing channels by reusing existing content in bite-sized formats.
  • Track and report out on campaign and program results and influence the team and your business partners to apply key takeaways to improve future programs.


Experience/skills required:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications or a related field; experience in a high tech or other fast-paced, exciting environment a plus.
  • A forward-thinking communicator and highly creative writer experienced in crafting compelling messaging and narratives; can generate and implement "breakout" ideas.
  • Consistent record of developing, carrying out, and supervising creative internal communications plans.
  • Experienced in email, Slack, executive communications, and narrative/presentation design.
  • Experience working with partners to produce event/presentation content and coordinate follow-up engagement and enablement.
  • Experience leading agencies and design teams to build short, impactful videos on fast timelines.
  • Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of subject areas and create clear communications.
  • Ability to build reports on communications metrics, tie them to business impact, and use them to advise future projects.
  • Ability to lead, run and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and forward-thinking environment.
  • A strategic problem solver with confirmed ability to work cross-functionally, exerting influence without direct oversight.
  • Dynamic, confident personality with ability to optimally drive projects with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and re-prioritize on the fly.
  • High degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and fun!

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $99,200 . You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
