The Employee Communications Sr. Specialist is responsible for writing, editing, and delivering high quality internal communications to client’s employees through a variety of channels for our Enterprise Technology team. Working closely with our Enterprise Technology integration (mergers and acquisition) project teams across client's company, the specialist will be responsible for day-to-day communications project management, communications plan execution, and change management for our team member services (IT) communications.

The right candidate will be a skilled writer and editor, knowledgeable about a variety of traditional and developing communications channels, a fast learner, a self-starter and a team player. The person should be competent in change management practices, helping drive alignment and engagement as new team members join Client's company


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Source, write, edit, and publish inspiring and informative content for employees.
  • Write, edit, and project manage key employee communications publications.
  • Change management competency.
  • Ability to translate technical information into layman’s terms.
  • Act as day-to-day owner of project-related intranet homepages.
  • Technical skills to support sending large employee emails, planning, and executing webcasts and web conferences, and similar projects.
  • Partner with senior members of the communications team and project leaders to help develop communications plans.
  • Support the execution of communications plans.
  • Track, analyze and report metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of employee communications programs.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-7 years communications experience.
  • Experience communicating to a large employee base of new hires.
  • Open-minded, flexible, adaptable to change and strong team player.
  • Change management competence.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and be comfortable with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superb writing and editing skills and a strong sense of narrative and story-telling. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Able to treat confidential material appropriately.


EDUCATION REQUIRED:


  • Degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field.
