We are seeking a Marketing Analyst (Communications) or Content Marketing Specialist to support the website redesign for CDC"s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) ( In this role, you will plan, develop, and implement market research; analyze data from diverse sources using statical software; and develop reports, and briefings to present findings and recommendations to the client and other stakeholders. You will regularly communicate with communication and technical team members to support the development of web media content based on your findings and recommendations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing data from a variety of sources (e.g., interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, surveys, literature reviews, etc.). Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conduct metrics and data analysis of federal government agency website, social media, and other digital media
  • Assemble, analyze, compare, and contrast web and digital data, including web metrics, web survey responses, web usability reports, Twitter and Facebook metrics, Adobe Campaign metrics, etc. for NCHS website, subsites, and appropriate benchmark sites and the digital tools (e.g., Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS), CDC WONDER),
  • Identify issues and recommend solutions: Conduct in-depth research to determine institutional and technical issues

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in health-topic-driven marketing, research, and analysis
  • Experience in MS Excel or other similar data analytics tools (Strong preference given to candidates with Tableau or Power BI)
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or similar (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Experience with data collection and data analysis, qualitative and quantitative metrics analysis
  • Experience in website metrics analysis
  • Experience in social media metrics analysis, including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Experience translating complex statistical data and findings into easy-to-understand reports and presentations and other visual means
  • Experience supporting communication projects for US Government clients or health related non-profit organizations. Past experience working on website communication projects for CDC a major plus.

M.PH. or similar degree with 4 - 7 years" experience
