Position Summary

The Digital Marketing & Brand Manager is responsible for development of content marketing and brand communications/advertising strategies and execution across digital channels, including the SAS website, social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, blogs and YouTube), email/marketing automation and Google.

This position also manages email marketing and marketing automation strategy and execution and contributes to overall Marketing Communications strategy, collaborating with the SAS Global Marketing Director, other members of the Marketing team, the Strategic IT Business Partner for SAS, Customer Experience & Marketing Platforms Lead, to ensure alignment with SAS CRM strategy and Global Marketing’s objectives, priorities and needs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the development & execution of SAS brand marketing communications strategy and contribute to the development of plans that help deliver marketing/sales objectives.

  • Work with SAS Product manager and Training manager to develop key communication points to be used in copywriting and creative executions within national and regional advertising campaigns.
  • Create monthly digital content calendars. Manage content marketing strategy and execution across all channels, including print, website, social media, search engines and email marketing/marketing automation platform, to drive engagement with target audience and generate quality leads working with appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage the creative execution from inception through final delivery; ensuring milestones are met such as proofreading, internal approvals, engineering review, legal review, legal substantiation and delivery of assets to publication/ media channel.
  • Manage & execute email marketing/marketing automation strategy and program in alignment with CRM objectives and Marketing/Sales goals/priorities and needs.
  • Create demographic groups to tailor publishing according to specific interests – e.g. adjuvants, biostimulants, fertilizers, organic compliant etc.
  • Identify opportunities to improve leads generated through digital efforts and lead user experience/customer experience thought leadership from a digital perspective.
  • Establish appropriate KPI goals and provide reports on metrics, including website and campaign performance, lead generation, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, social media and/or community management
  • Experience owning web production processes and workflows
  • Proven experience with Google Analytics, SEO and SEM
  • Experience with A/B testing to optimize digital/web content performance
  • Experience managing and leading improvement efforts with CRM/marketing automation platforms; experience with Pardot and SFDC required.
  • Actively participates and has experience managing a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, etc.
  • Understanding of popular social networks – design, functionality, users
  • Highly agile individual with proven ability to adapt in rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong communication capabilities- excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. High attention to detail.
