As our new Senior Social Strategist, Story you will lead the story strategy on a robust food and beverage account developing strategic approaches for maximum impact of the brand story. You are able to pitch bold social strategies, ideas, and frameworks to the most senior clients, as well as to the senior creative and strategy partners in your organization. You enjoy the discussions with the clients. You love to work with creatives and production partners. You’re strong at developing stories and narratives a brand should be conveying on Social, and you can turn them into smart performance oriented campaigns, working with media experts and systems thinkers. For you, Social is not just about content.

Working within a team model to service client needs, you will be required to provide strategic direction and leadership within the group. In addition to being a client facing lead, you will be charged with working with partner agencies handling media, production, and performance aspects of the book of business.

A representative of our social media marketing capability at Ogilvy, you will work with teams to deliver our offering of an end-to-end integrated approach pulling together creative, media and data expertise to deliver nimble and result-driven campaigns for our clients.

  • Can combine creative content ideas with smart social media strategies to drive business results.
  • Strong social skills and proven data interpretation capabilities; able to translate findings into insights.
  • Can apply multiple analysis techniques and use tools to gain insights and facts from social to build personas, journeys, content pillars.
  • Can contribute to social briefs and work with creatives to ensure social-first and audience-centric output.
  • Work with media teams to understand campaign performance and how those learnings impact future campaigns.
  • Can develop simple social “pulse” and “program” strategies and present to client.
  • Able to develop sophisticated competitive and brand audits.
  • Strong understanding of the power of influencers within the digital space, with the ability to identify the right influencers for brand and audiences
  • Identify issues that need to be escalated and does so properly
  • 3-5 years experience in social marketing, with proven examples of strategies developed for well-‐known brands in the social media space
  • Experience in food & beverage preferred
  • Strategically strong. Understands the client’s business and is able to connect challenges and social strategy/tactics.
  • Expert in understanding of social media and established understanding of the wider digital communications landscape
  • Passionate about quickly-‐evolving digital/social media environment with a strong POV to share with clients and colleagues
  • Research skills, with the ability to generate data-‐based insights to weave into the strategy process
  • Ability to work effectively, proactively and seamlessly amongst an integrated agency team
  • Superior communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Eye for innovation and the next emerging platform or partner to consider as part of a social strategy results
  • Candidate must demonstrate: a proven track record of social consulting engagements that produced positive business results; a portfolio of strong brands and/or industry breadth or depth; and a deep knowledge of business and social
  • Candidate must have experience collaborating closely with key decision influencers (e.g. external technology/service partners, internal cross-‐functional team of Brand Planners, Creative Directors, Engineers, Account Directors, Analysts, and other digital experts), in order to pool relevant knowledge and skills to recommend industry-‐ leading social marketing solutions
  • Applying social/digital media in your own life – please include links to your relevant social media spaces
  • Previous experience in social oriented agency preferred
