The Office of Sponsored Research Administration is seeking a Grant Writer/Editor (Communications Specialist, I).
The Grant Writer/Editor (Communications Specialist, I). will assist with writing and editing proposals in response to a variety of funding opportunities. The incumbent will work with individual faculty, post-docs, residents, students and staff in the development of technical and non-technical grants, cooperative agreements and contracts, as well as other supporting documents. The incumbent will also play an active role in the writing and editing institutional proposals, institutional responses to requests for information, institutional reports, and strategic planning documents for the research units.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: 2 years of college education or Associate’s Degree in a related field required. *Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university. Bachelors degree in related field is preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years experience in writing, editing, graphic design and layout conception or comparable experience required.
Must be experienced using computers and various software packages, i.e. WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, VISIO etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in related field required. Masters degree in biomedical science or public health field. *Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in writing and editing research-related documents i.e. technical publications, grants, reports, is required.
