Freedom Forever is currently hiring a REMOTE Electrical Engineer!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Electrical Engineer is a key member of the Design and Engineering team, which manages workflow to increase quality and efficiency. This position is responsible for providing technical and engineering direction for all electrical aspects of residential and commercial projects. This position works closely with branch offices to provide input and guidance on electrical questions raised by AHJs during plan checks or inspections. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing services provided to the other entities involved in the install process.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee electrical engineering quality standards including internal and external engineering and design resources.

Assess code compliance for electrical calculations, sign, and seal all internal projects.

Manage relationships and communication with Authority Having Jurisdiction regarding additions, remodels, new construction.

Produce electrical analysis, calculations, and details in an accurate and timely manner.

Develop creative solutions to move escalated projects to completion.

Management via providing direction to design and engineering team through training and process improvement/development.

Oversee process improvement and automation.

Other duties as assigned.




QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:




Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (EE).

Operate in the following states: CA, AZ, FL, MA, RI, NV, NM, IL, and CT.




Experience:

Solar experience is highly preferred but not required.

Two plus (2+) years of management experience with the ability to lead and provide direction to a team in a professional environment.




Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Working knowledge and experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good communication and 'people' skills

A strong commitment to customer service

The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations

Confidence, drive, enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, and fair play




Special Skills & Training:

Thorough understanding of electrical codes & calculations, and any relevant residential or commercial regulations.

Excellent complex multi-functional project and people management skills

Excellent analytical, quantitative, organizational, and prioritization skills

Must be innovative, proactive, and a team player

Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues

Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences
