Your day to day

  • Implement the early career HBCU and university relations key processes that enable recruitment, interviewing and selection of early career talent and drive an inclusive experience in the Americas region. Includes interview scheduling, candidate outreach and offer delivery.
  • Partner in the management and delivery of select diverse early career talent programs/initiatives, including the Management rotational program and Internship program, with a focus on building skills and competencies for strong contribution and professional career growth.
  • Collaborate in driving strong, strategic relationships with our HBCU partners and universities and internal stakeholders by identifying and implementing meaningful, custom experiences to attract talent to hospitality, IHG.
  • Manage and communicate the early careers HBCU calendar/timeline, including customized events and experiences that go above and beyond the Talent Acquisition career fairs, that delivers meaningful events, stakeholder participation.
  • Recommend and develop the best marketing and attraction materials for custom and talent acquisition events that inspires and connects with our early career talent pipeline.
  • Edit communications, learning resources to maintain ongoing engagement of our talent pipeline and build excitement on hospitality, IHG and support professional/career development.
  • Track progress to ensure continuous improvement on program metrics, attraction and retention outcomes.
  • Work with Manager Early Careers DEI on branding and social media strategy to increase brand recognition, program participation and application.
  • Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent and DEI team to support and implement programs, events successfully.
  • Contribute to the wider DEI/Talent/HR agenda ensuring interdependencies identified and aligned.


What we need from you


Education –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience –

  • 5 or more years progressive experience in HR or related field. Demonstrated experience in successfully owning or managing medium to large scale projects, programs or initiatives.
  • Experience with Early Careers or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, or requirements for assigned specialization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in client support, customer relations, or human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and executing projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, and HR staff
