As a Client Director at Kainos, you will support as a common link between project scoping during the sales process and delivery of the services sold. You’ll be accountable for the sales performance, customer relationships and project delivery for your customers. You will be actively involved in the sales process. You will fully own the customer relationship at a senior level, overseeing all aspects of project delivery and be a senior point of escalation. This is a strategic role within the Kainos Workday practice, so you will interact with other senior levels within Kainos and the customer organisation. The Client Director will be measured on client satisfaction, retention, and sales within existing accounts.

You will be responsible for supporting the growth of our team in either Atlanta, Indianapolis, or Toronto

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Working with engagement teams during Phase One delivery to manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
  • Overseeing local engagement teams and making sure the project is staffed with the right team and delivering to a high quality, and supporting to continuously manage customer expectations.
  • Accurately forecasting demand within existing accounts
  • Working with a Regional Director to help develop joint go-to-market strategies and plan combined quarterly business reviews.
  • Agreeing and being accountable for project delivery to agreed margins.
  • Serving as an Executive Sponsor on in-flight engagements.
  • Serving as the overall escalation point for resolving customer issues including deployment, contractual, and relationship issues.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Has a strong presence and confidence, exhibiting professional maturity, strong communication skills with at least 10 years' working experience.
  • Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs and build relationships at a strategic, senior level. You will be able to intervene effectively and resolve customer escalations appropriately
  • Excellent communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact and credibility. Sound ability to formally present to senior client audiences
  • Excellent consulting experience at a high level in an implementation environment
  • Knowledge of project management disciplines and processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and complete understanding of project management and business dynamics, preferably within Workday or other cloud ERP solutions
  • Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends in both HR/HR technology and Financials/Financials internationally
  • Deadline driven, able to make sensible decisions under pressure while taking a balanced view of Client demands and Kainos commercials
  • Ability to widen and maintain a people and advisory network.
  • An acknowledged expert capable of thought leadership (e.g. production of blog posts, etc.)
  • A recognized role model within Kainos and the wider Workday ecosystem
  • An effective people manager, mentoring and developing consultants and managers
  • Participating in the development of a workforce plan for the business and recruiting to it as appropriate
  • Regular participant in sales activities and responsible for the oversight of the production of estimates for bids
  • Understanding of risk management and able to support the management of risks within our customer projects
  • Able, if required, to travel to customer sites
  • Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed
  • The ability to balance customer demands and success with sales targets

DESIRABLE:

  • Working within the Workday ecosystem or with other SaaS delivery methodologies
  • Strong functional domain expertise including areas such as core HR and Finance, Analytics and Payroll.
  • Experience of managing, mentoring and developing teams

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

Your role may or may not involve managing people. Where you do have direct reports your responsibilities may include:

  • Agreeing, setting and reviewing your and your team’s goals aligned to Kainos, Workday BU and your Capability
  • Providing support so that your and your team’s goals can be achieved
  • Reviewing and refining goals for relevance and to keep performance on track
  • Reviewing performance against goals and provide feedback
  • Supporting 1:1 monthly and/or project completion feedback meetings
  • Requesting and providing regular feedback in Workday
  • Completing End of Year reviews and agreeing the outcomes for the year
  • Identifying training to support your and your team’s development
  • Pursuing and supporting your and your team members’ career paths and progression
  • Reviewing weekly workload forecasting (staff allocations and timesheet checks) and utilization
  • Actively being involved in recruitment/interviews
