Located on the second floor of Ponce City Market in Atlanta, our brick and mortar serves as a safe space for customers to shop a vast collection of home goods from over 25 countries, all while supporting craft cultures, equitable pay, gender equality, environmental stewardship, and so much more!

Job Description:

We are looking for a Part Time Retail Specialist to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and help meet sales goals. Candidates with strong communication skills, and a love of story telling are encouraged to apply! This job is so much greater than just retail! We see our retail specialists as story tellers, curators, global citizens, advocates, and partners in our mission! In addition to traditional retail responsibilities such as ensuring our shop stays clean and beautifully merchandized, you are expected to share the stories of our unique pieces and the talented artisans who make them, and assist customers in finding the perfect addition to their space!

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Cross-sell products
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked
• Coordinate with the team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about sales and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Customer Service or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• High school degree

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
