Location: The selected candidate must reside in the Eastern US. New England/Northeast preferred. This is a work-from-home opportunity.
The DBG (Diversified Business Group) Sales Account Executive - Behavioral Health will be responsible for acquiring new business, focused solely on our Beacon behavioral health business and achievement of an annual growth target. The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain a strong new Beacon behavioral health business pipeline and have effective collaboration and relationship-building skills both with internal and external stakeholders. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Takes ownership of the sales cycle from new business development and lead qualification through contracting.
- Builds strong client relationships and establishes executive credibility with key stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and vendor partners.
- Acts as a thought leader to our potential clients demonstrating cutting-edge knowledge of state and federal programs, health plan business and regulations, and understanding of key market trends to develop new business opportunities.
- Collaborates with Account Management, Clinical, Government Affairs, Product Development, Operations, and other functional area leaders to translate identified market opportunities into viable, cost-competitive, and innovative products and solutions that will create profitable new business opportunities.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the healthcare field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experience: Advanced degree preferred; 5 years of sales and/or business development experience in healthcare. Travel up to 50% within the region. Strong preference for experience with health plans and/or public sector program administration, business development, and operations. Behavioral health experience is strongly preferred; preferably in sales and/or business development, but other relevant BH experience will be considered.
