Whip Media is hiring for a talented Vice President of Sales based in Atlanta, Georgia in a role focused on developing new business opportunities for Whip Media's targeting MVPD's/Cable Operators/OTT platforms, and broadcasters and content owners. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, hungry sales professional who will absolutely relish the chance to join the team and further develop our business in the Eastern US and Canadian markets where Whip Media has already established itself as the industry leader. Whip Media has some significant plans for growth over the next few years - so there is exciting career potential within the company.

What will you do?

  • Overall responsibility to contribute to and implement a comprehensive sales and business growth strategy that maximizes Whip Media's opportunities across all products and services that Whip offers, with a particular focus on Cable Operators and Streaming Platforms/Broadcasters in the US
  • We want you to hit and strive to exceed agreed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Your focus will be to ensure target margins are achieved
  • We want you to build and develop new customer opportunity plans; detail and implement strategies for successful execution within these clients
  • Work in partnership with the SVP of Sales to develop and maintain quarterly territory forecasts and create and deliver strategic account plans that accurately predict revenue on a quarterly basis
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline all the while keeping Salesforce CRM system complete and up to date with sales forecasting and reporting
  • Position the company as a strategic supplier to customers and strive to attain "trusted advisor" status
  • Apply consultative selling methodology on a consistent basis, in order to create value propositions for strategic opportunities to attract and grow revenue
  • Follow up with the customers in after-sales process to ensure smooth project implementation and transition to account management
  • Attend and contribute actively at relevant industry trade shows when circumstances allow

What do you need?

  • We want you to be a proven new business sales person, with clear evidence of a successful track record in delivering profitable growth focused in new accounts for over 10+ years
  • Experience and understanding of the world of movie and tv licensing as a buyer and/or seller of content
  • Familiarity with selling complex enterprise software solutions
  • We'd love you to come to the table with a network of high-level relationships in pay tv operators, broadcasters, streaming platforms and major content owners/distributors in the East Coast
  • Proven ability to understand the business and technical requirements of telco/paytv operators, broadcasters, OTT providers and video content companies in order to effectively position Whip Media Group and sell software as solutions to those problems in the target market
  • Significant experience navigating long sales cycles
  • Ability to manage successfully sales processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • A creative problem solver & visionary who can find opportunities & solutions easily
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with all supporting teams & stakeholders so that these internal teams actively contribute to the success of the sales team!
