The Pricing Analyst will work with the finance and retail team to achieve financial goals by designing, implementing and measuring pricing initiatives and tests while tracking compliance, and utilizing or creating various statistical measurement techniques and tools. Continuously improve processes to increase capabilities and capacity of the team. Work with peers and manager to evaluate and implement innovative and solution-oriented pricing initiatives specific to varying contractual and company needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement and measure pricing initiatives
Understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin
Track compliance through pricing rounds and drive compliance through reporting and follow up
Manipulate, query, and analyze very large data sets where imperfect information may exist
Create supporting pricing materials regarding strategy and impact
Help develop and deliver executive level presentations that summarize complex analyses and case studies
Develop tools and reports to aid pricing and analytics
Conduct research to become subject matter expert on industry trends related to pricing and analysis
Support other areas of finance and provide expert analytical support
Provide analysis and support for other ad hoc pricing analysis
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics or other quantitative subject preferred. MBA or advanced degree favorable. 2-4 years of previous work in pricing or data analytics required.
Ability to learn very quickly and independently
Ability to solve analytical problems using complex quantitative approaches
Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and VBA. Experience with R a plus.
Strong ability to query databases, utilize statistical software or pricing packages (i.e., SQL, R, Python, Qlik)
Strong communication skills and professional business acumen
Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally with business partners
